Sanjay Budhia, MD-Patton Group said, “In today’s world, where natural resources are finite and ecosystems face mounting pressures, embracing circular economy principles is no longer optional, it is essential. Fully embracing the circular economy has the potential to yield annual benefits of Rs 40 lakh crore (US $624 billion) by 2050, underscoring its immense economic and environmental promise.”
Mr Budhia added, to accelerate the circular economy transition, we need harmonised policies, aligned incentives, and effective enforcement mechanisms that promote recycled material production and uptake. Removing trade barriers will strengthen supply chain resilience, while better interagency coordination will eliminate redundant policies and drive systemic change.
